2001 Bay Mare
We are truly indebted to Kathy DeFazio of Scandia Morgans for entrusting
us with her very special mare, Queen. Queen is a maternal half-sister
to Nemours Royal Doll, whom we sorely miss. Consequently, Queen looks
very much like her late sister. We were completely captivated by her
beauty when we saw her. After the loss of Dolly and her gorgeous filly
by Braveheart, we considered the possibility of Queen producing a
similarly beautiful foal if we were to also cross her with Braveheart.
Thanks to Kathy DeFazio, we will have the opportunity to see this cross
come to fruition!
Queen has already proven herself worthy of being a top
notch broodmare!
Crossed with UVM Coming Attraction, she produced the very fancy colt,
Scandias Simply the Best. In 2007, she produced an extremely pretty
filly by Scandias Trademark named Scandias Ms Congeniality. We look
forward to the foals she will produce for us in the future!
Currently, Queen is in foal to UVM Coming Attraction (UVM Tennyson X UVM
Josie B) for an early May foal. We really loved the colt she produced
when crossed to Coming Attraction, and we are excited about this repeat
cross! For next year, we will breed her to our stallion, HollyBrook
Braveheart. Knowing the quality Queen has produced thus far, we are
confident that we will be blessed with a beautiful foal in 2008 and in
2009!
