1992 Bay mare.
Rose Valley Rumba joined us on our farm in November of
2001. She is by
the famous stallion, Pinehaven Chief, and out of the mare Jaklee My Oh
My. Rumba is a large-boned, 15.2 hand mare. She carries the best of
Funquest breeding, and boy can she trot! She is a very forward-moving
mare that really uses her back end to drive. We purchased her as a
broodmare, and we are thrilled to see that she is passing on her
excellent disposition, intelligence, and natural athleticism. She has
been a steady trail mount for us, and we are constantly impressed by her
wonderful work ethic and the ease by which she learns something new!
With her Funquest lines, she is producing true to her breeding -
extremely gifted, versatile foals!
Since Rumba is in her mid-teens and has been such a
wonderful producer
for us, we decided we would like to have a filly from her that we can
take back and breed to our stallion, HollyBrook Braveheart. We
considered several stallions, and the one that we decided upon was
Ultra's Special Agent (Tug Hill Commando X Up Hyre Serene Topic). Agent
has proven himself as a sire of champions time and time again.
Currently, Rumba is in foal to Agent for 2008. Our plans are to breed
her back to him again this year for a 2009 foal. Maybe we will get
lucky and get our filly this year; however, if we do not, we will have
another chance next year!
Bred to Ultra's Special Agent for an
April 2008 foal!
Will be bred to Ultra's Special Agent for
a 2009 foal!
